Silas Goodman is a Montréal-based composer, filmmaker and photographer. Harboring an equal love for film and music from a young age, he studied music theory and composition at Boston University before transferring to Concordia University, Montréal, and graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film studies and a minor in music in 2021.
He began his professional career as the lead videographer at La Hacienda Creative and MNTRA, founded by award-winning composer Brian D’Oliveira, during which his photos were published in Composer Magazine and his film work was released by Sony Entertainment VEVO. As an independent composer and filmmaker, Silas has collaborated on projects that have been screened at the Fantasia International Film Festival (Inner Path, Ami d’Ami), Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma (Par-Delà l’Eau Trouble, Ami d’Ami) and the Atlantic International Film Festival (Seasalt).

Silas Goodman est un compositeur, cinéaste et photographe établi à Montréal. Passionné dès son plus jeune âge par le cinéma et la musique, il a étudié la théorie musicale et la composition à l'Université de Boston avant de poursuivre ses études à l'Université Concordia de Montréal, où il a obtenu un baccalauréat en études cinématographiques et une mineure en musique en 2021.
Il a ensuite débuté sa carrière professionnelle en tant que vidéaste principal à La Hacienda Creative et MNTRA, fondés par le compositeur primé Brian D'Oliveira, au cours duquel ses photos ont parues dans Composer Magazine et son travail cinématographique a été publié par Sony Entertainment VEVO. En tant que compositeur et cinéaste indépendant, Silas a collaboré sur des projets qui ont été présentés au Festival international de films Fantasia (Inner Path, Ami d’Ami), à Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma (Par-Delà l'Eau Trouble, Ami d’Ami) et au Festival international de films de l'Atlantique (Seasalt).
